A true paradise for speckled trout fishing enthusiasts, Domaine Chabanel is an exceptional 12,000 acres private domain. Located in the heart of the boreal forest, halfway between the Mauricie and Lac Saint-Jean regions, it features some twenty lakes and a number of rivers.

Domaine Chabanel provides visitors a guaranteed change of pace. It is home to various animal species common to the boreal forest, notably wolves. Although wolves are wild animals that tend to avoid humans, our experienced guides have been known to howl along with them! Moose, black bears, beavers, and various birds of prey are also among the species found here.

Built in 1980 by the Campeau Corporation, once one of Canada’s leading construction companies, the Domaine Chabanel Lodge offers modern, luxury accommodations with a sauna and a tennis court for the use of guests.

The distinctive character of the gray pine log buildings creates a warm and unique atmosphere and reflects the style of wilderness cabins built many decades ago.

The luxury lodge built in the traditional log cabin style features eight bedrooms and four bathrooms and can accommodate 18 guests.
