Black Bear Hunting

Trophy Black Bear Hunt

Gesti-Faune (wildlife management group) now offers a Trophy Spring Black Bear Hunt at the prestigious Manoir Brule Corporate Lodge, situated in the Laurentian Mountains at a 75 minute drive northeast of Quebec City. The Manoir Brule is a part of the Beaupre Seigniory, the largest and oldest privately owned woodlands (400,000 acres) in Quebec, Canada. We also have hunting rights in the adjacent Laurentide Wildlife Reserve (Quebec’s largest game Preserve mesuring 2 million acres of pristine territory). These areas have a very high density bear population and each year, trophy bears weighing over 300 lbs are harvested.

During the last 3 years, our 30 hunters shot 30 bears and have seen over 80 ! Because of an overabundance of black bears in this area, Government biologists will be authorizing a limited number of special 2nd Bear permits for 2012.

Your spouse will love it here

During your stay, you can enjoy trout fishing in some of the best lakes in Quebec. You will be staying in the luxurious Manoir Brule Lodge : aound-the-clock electricity, private bathrooms in each room, spacious lounge, etc. Furthermore, the Manoir Brule is renowned for its excellent trout fishing. At this time of the year, the fishing is at its peak. You can also walk our nature trails and visit the Invented River. This innovative man-made trout spawning bed represents one of the best trout enhancement projects ever accomplished in Québec and resulted in a tenfold (300-3000) increase in the annual trout harvest in Lake Brule.

Why not visit the area ? 400 year old Quebec City is only 75 minutes away. Scenic Charlevoix is even closer. You can take a day trip to Tadoussac and see some whales on the Saint-Lawrence River.
